Located in the far west of Great Britain Cornwall is a peninsula that tumbles into the vast Atlantic ocean. Almost completely surrounded by the sea, the magnificent coastline wraps itself around Cornwall for almost 300 miles. Cornwall is also the location of mainland Great Britain's most southerly point, The Lizard, and also the famous  Land's End, while just a few miles off shore is the archipelago of tiny islands of Scilly.

 

Cornwall really is special, there are so many things the county is loved for, the stunning scenery, captivating fishing harbours, quaint Cornish villages, and the spectacular beaches, some with pounding surf that provide a natural playground for a variety of watersports.

 

Of course Cornwall would not be the same without its world famous Cornish pasty and cream teas.

But there are so many other things about Cornwall that may surprise you. For instance, there are fascinating Prehistoric, Bronze age and Iron age remains. And everywhere you go there will be the signs of Cornwall's greatest industry, tin mining.  Cornwall also has the claim of having more myths and legends than any other County.
